Mailing list

The team's most effective method of communication is currently via the mailing list. Here, there is a friendly atmosphere and anything to do with RC5 cracking is on topic.

The mailing list is not only open to people in the AUG team, but also to others who use Acorns to for RC5 cracking. There an an average of 2-3 posts per day and it is online 24 hours/day so messages will instantly be relayed to all members.

Signing on

If you wish to sign on to the mailng list, send a message to <list-subscribe@rc5.acornusers.org>. Information in the topic or body of the message is ignored.

Signing off

If you wish to be unsubscribed from the mailing list, send a message to <list-unsubscribe@rc5.acornusers.org>.

Sending a message

To send a message to the mailing list for all to read, send it to <list@rc5.acornusers.org>

Index of messages

To get an index with subject and author for messages 123-456, e-mail <list-index.123_456@rc5.acornusers.org>. They are always returned as sets of 100, max 2000 per request, so you'll actually get 100 - 499.

Subscribing an alternate address

If you wish to sign an e-mail address other than the one you are currently using, for example, <john@host.domain>, just add a hypen and your address (with '=' instead of '@') after the command word. For example, <list-subscribe-john=host.domain@rc5.acornusers.org> will send a confirmation message to the address.
